Everton held talks with Sergio Rico about a potential move to Goodison Park but the Daily Express reports that the goalkeeper rejected the Toffees.
The Toffees have been one of the busier Premier League sides in recent times.

One of the players Rafa Benitez has been able to land is Asmir Begovic. The Bosnian has arrived from Bournemouth to provide cover for Jordan Pickford.
But it would appear that he was not the only goalkeeper Everton held discussions with.
According to the Daily Express, the Toffees held talks with Rico. The 27-year-old has been Keylor Navas’s understudy for the last two years at Parc des Princes.

However, Rico reportedly snubbed Everton. It is claimed that he wants to be first-choice at his next club.
Sergio Rico may have taken gamble rejecting Everton move
It is scarcely-believable how many goalkeepers PSG currently have on their books.
With the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma, they have at least seven stoppers in their first-team squad right now.
Of course, many will surely leave before too long. But it does perhaps highlight the gamble Rico may have taken rejecting Everton.
Pickford’s stock is incredibly high after Euro 2020. But he has previously endured mixed spells of form.
So Begovic will likely be aware of how beneficial it could ultimately be if he impresses whenever he gets a chance.
Rico may well land himself a number one spot elsewhere. But a move to Merseyside may not have been a terrible option after two years as a backup in Paris.
