Report: ‘Sensational’ player now open to joining Everton this summer, he's desperate to play
Chelsea striker Armando Broja is now open to joining Everton this summer, with i News reporting that he’s desperate to play first-team football.
The ‘sensational’ Broja has been heavily linked with a move away from West London this summer after a successful loan spell at Southampton last season.
The Chelsea man has been linked with moves to a host of Premier League clubs. But at this moment his future seems unclear.
The Blues are yet to sign a striker after losing Romelu Lukaku this summer, so they may have to keep hold of Broja.
But it seems the Albanian forward is keen to play regular football this season. And if Chelsea do allow him to leave, Everton could be a possible destination for him.
Broja open to joining Everton
The Toffees have been talking to Chelsea all summer about the 20-year-old and will seemingly move for him if he becomes available.
And Broja is open to the move as he is desperate to play first-team football again this season.
Everton are considering other targets such as Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz and Brighton’s Neal Maupay. But Broja remains their top priority this summer.
Lampard could soon receive a boost in his attempts to land the Albanian international this summer. If Chelsea’s move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goes through, Thomas Tuchel may be more willing to allow Broja to leave.
The Everton boss will be desperate to get another striker through the door before the window shuts.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has already suffered an injury which ruled him out of the first two games. And the injury highlighted a glaring weakness in Lampard’s squad.
The Toffees also lost Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur this summer and will need to add a striker to Lampard’s team to provide competition and cover for Calvert-Lewin.
And Broja could be the perfect option after an impressive campaign under Ralph Hasenhuttl. The striker managed six goals and one assist in the Premier League.
At just 20, the Chelsea man showed plenty of promise and was often a nuisance for opposition defences last season.
