Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty impressed in front of scouts in a friendly match, according to The Daily Record.
An experimental Rangers side played Leicester City in an exhibition match. This gave Docherty the chance to impress with a number of scouts in attendance.
Rangers won 3-0 and Docherty grabbed himself a goal. He came on for the second half and got on the scoresheet. This is likely to impress with Rangers reportedly ready to sanction a January move.
Docherty will be allowed to leave on loan in the January window. Last season, he was on loan at Shrewsbury Town and he is set for another temporary exit.

The 23-year-old thoroughly impressed at Shrewsbury last season. In 50 games, he weighed in with 10 goals and 11 assists from midfield in a mid-table side.
Many fans thought he might get a chance when he returned to Ibrox. But Steven Gerrard has only given him five outings. He last played in August and has only made the bench once in the league (he didn’t come on).
TBR’s view
The Scotland U21 midfielder will be disappointed with how this season has unravelled. But after scoring in the friendly match – with scouts watching – another loan move could give Docherty some game time.
Whether he goes to another Scottish Premiership side or moves back to England, Docherty is likely to be a success. He will not be short of suitors.
