Interest continues to grow in Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, with Bundesliga outfit Schalke having now supposedly entered the race.
Sky Sports have reported the German side want to sign the Argentine stopper, who has been in stunning form for the club since replacing Bernd Leno after his injury against Brighton.
Schalke have just lost their number one from last season Alexander Nubel, with Bayern Munich swooping to complete a free transfer, and are on the lookout for a replacement.

Martinez has wowed for Arsenal since replacing Leno, and finally seems to have a chance of a prolonged run in the starting XI after 10 years at the club.
But it remains to be seen if Mikel Arteta’s decision to play him in the Community Shield was a means of putting him in the shop window, rather than a show of loyalty.
Schalke wanting Martinez comes after they were also linked with a move to bring back former defender Sead Kolasinac.
TBR’s View – Arsenal could get a pretty penny
That’s another team in the race for Martinez, then, and Arsenal are in a good position.

To stand the best chance of strengthening, the Gunners will need to raise funds and Martinez could be a good means of doing that.
The more teams that are interested, the higher the selling price is likely to be.
Fans are unlikely to want to see £20,000-a-week star Martinez (Spotrac) sold following his recent purple patch, but he just may have to be sacrificed for the good of the team.
