Report says Pochettino could target four Tottenham players, including English duo

Eurosport have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino could look to raid Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window and target four Spurs players – amid reports the Argentine boss is in advanced talks to take over at PSG.

Sky Sports state the ex-Tottenham manager is expected to replace Thomas Tuchel, who was sacked over the course of the weekend. Pochettino, a former PSG player, has been out of work for more than a year since leaving Spurs.

The report claims that Pochettino will look to sign Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan in a swap deal with Leandro Paredes, and could try to sign four Tottenham players. Dele Alli is one of those, continually being linked with PSG.

Along with the 37-time England ace, Tottenham sources have told to Eurosport that interest from Pochettino and PSG in Harry Winks, Serge Aurier and Hugo Lloris is inevitable. Time will tell, as the January window approaches.

TBR’s view – Which players can Tottenham afford to lose?

Clearly, Dele needs to move on. The midfielder desperately needs game time and is not getting that at Tottenham. A loan to PSG under Pochettino would get his career back on track – and could even boost his chances of Euro 2021.

Aurier spoke about his love for PSG over the weekend but he remains crucial to Spurs, despite mistakes in the past. Lloris is one of the first names on the team sheet – while Winks returned to the starting line-up against Wolves.

Dele needs to go, Winks has been in and out of the Spurs side and could be tempted, Aurier will be tempted but Spurs need to keep him – and Lloris leaving for PSG is unthinkable.
