Ryan Sessegnon believes he has done enough to earn more first-team football at Tottenham Hotspur and he is not alone in feeling he should be receiving more minutes under Jose Mourinho.

That is according to a report from Sky Sports, who claim that Barcelona scouts, who first watched him in action for Fulham in the 2018 Championship play-off final, are again keeping an eye on his progress as he struggles to make a regular impact at Tottenham.

The England under-21 international, according to the report, believes that he has done everything in his power to earn some more regular game time.

It is claimed that the higher-ups at Tottenham would also like to see Sessegnon playing more regularly, as well as fellow summer recruit Tanguy Ndombele, considering the sizeable investment made in both players.

Sessegnon joined from Fulham in the summer for a deal reported by the BBC to be worth around £25 million-plus Josh Onomah in exchange.

However, injuries impacted Sessegnon’s early Tottenham career and he is now struggling to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans at left-back or on the left-wing.

Tottenham’s board will no doubt want Sessegnon to come good at the club but with Mourinho not looking like a fan it seems this interest from Barcelona will need to be taken seriously.

Spurs fans will hope that Sessegnon can find his best form at the club and some regular football in the weeks and months to come, as losing him could end up being costly in the long run.
