Fraser had been linked with the likes of West Ham and Crystal Palace, but face-to-face talks with Steve Bruce convinced the player to move to the north-east.

The news comes a matter of hours after it was reported Newcastle had a £20 million bid for Callum Wilson accepted.

The England international, like Fraser, is also scheduled to have his medical at the club tomorrow (Sky Sports).

The winger had been with Bournemouth since January 2013, and caught the eye in the 2018/19 season when he contributed eight goals and 15 assists in 42 appearances.

Both have many years of experience in the top-flight and have been standout players for Bournemouth over the past few years.

They will definitely improve Newcastle’s starting XI, and Magpies supporters will certainly hope to see some good combination play which the pair have obviously been showcasing at the Vitality Stadium.
