Spurs could be about to miss out on yet another potential manager, with Portuguese coach Rui Vitoria set to agree terms to take over at Spartak Moscow.
That is according to O Jogo, who claim Vitoria, 51, is set to move to Russia and take on the manager’s job at Spartak.
Duncan Castles had claimed on his Transfer Window Podcast a few weeks ago that Spurs had already contact Vitoria about taking on the job left by Jose Mourinho. Since then, however, things seem to have quietened down, with Ryan Mason being given the chance to stake his claim.

But Mason is unlikely to be offered the job on a full-time basis, per multiple reports this week. Vitoria would have been an interesting appointment and his experience with Benfica, including winning multiple trophies, was obviously appealing.
Spurs, though, seem to have missed the boat when it comes to Vitoria and like so many other names mentioned, it seems other clubs are just as, if not more, appealing than Daniel Levy’s outfit.
TBR View: Vitoria always a left-field shout but names are dropping off here
As the weeks tumble by, so do more names linked with the Spurs job it seems. Vitoria joins the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Erik Ten Hag, and Julian Nagelsmann as coaches who the club have missed out on.
Daniel Levy will have a list of targets, of course. But the more managers who seem to move elsewhere, the more you feel that Spurs might not be quite as enticing a job as it once was.
