AS Roma are keen to sell winger Cengiz Under this summer, and will target shipping him off to the Premier League amid recent interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

The Italian giants are ready to cut ties with the Turkey international, who has not had the best of campaigns this season.

Under started off particularly slowly, with injury not helping his cause.

He then struggled to start games around the festive period, but has recently being getting more opportunities under Paulo Fonseca.

Despite this, Calciomercato have claimed the club will try to move him on in the summer and specifically target the English top-flight.

Turkish-Football recently reported that Everton were planning a £34 million move for the 22-year-old, while Gunes claimed Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho was keen.

Under has been with Roma since 2017, and signed a new deal last summer meaning he is tied to the club until 2023.

TBR’s view – Everton need Under more

Roma reportedly being willing to sell Under should pique the interest on Everton more than it should Tottenham.

Spurs landed Steven Bergwijn in January, and it would be something of a surprise to see them target another winger unless someone was to leave.

Over at Goodison, Everton could do with fresh impetus out wide.

Bernard has shown flashes of brilliance during his time in English football, and Richarlison’s talents have been there for all to see, but it can be argued Theo Walcott can be upgraded on.

The Englishman turns 31 next month and will be in the final year of his contract next season, so the Toffees will need to think about replacing him.
