Italian newspaper Leggo have claimed that another Tottenham Hotspur star has sprung on to the shortlist of Serie A side AS Roma this summer, in the form of Moussa Sissoko.
Roma have previously been linked with Toby Alderweireld, while Spurs reportedly want Roma midfielder Nicola Zaniolo. Corriere dello Sport even claimed this week that Spurs had offered Alderweireld and money for Zaniolo.
Sissoko, 29, endured two very difficult first seasons at Tottenham, following his £30million move from Newcastle. But during 2018-19, the Frenchman was moved into central midfield and he was transformed.
Arguably Spurs’ most important player throughout the campaign, Sissoko won over fans and Mauricio Pochettino alike and is currently considered an indispensable.

It is believed Sissoko has been eyed, if a deal falls through for Jordan Veretout. Former Toulouse and Toon midfielder Sissoko has a contract at Spurs until the summer of 2021, which Spotrac claim is worth £80,000 a week.
TBR’s view – Tottenham must keep Sissoko
Sissoko finally showed his worth and more last season in the middle of the park, and it is absolutely vital that Spurs keep the experienced midfielder – because of new signing Tanguy Ndombele.
Sissoko made the step up when brought to the Premier League from Ligue 1 and Ndombele will be looking for advice from his international teammate. The duo are likely to play alongside eachother in central midfield.
Harry Winks will have something to say about that, while Eric Dier may be forced to drop back into defence. The future, though, looks somewhat bleak for Victor Wanyama.
