Roma have considered a move for another Wolves player this summer with Calciomercato reporting that Jonny is someone they have looked at signing.

Jose Mourinho is continuing to make changes to his squad following his arrival in the Italian capital earlier this summer.

And one of the first names through the door for the Giallorossi in this window was Rui Patricio.

The Portuguese left after three years at Molineux. And perhaps there is a chance that he may not be the only Wolves player who makes that move this summer.

According to Calciomercato, Jonny is one of the targets Roma have considered as they look to strengthen at left-back.

The report notes that there had also been interest in Ramy Bensebaini and Alex Telles. But they have so far enjoyed no luck in securing either player.

They have since turned their attention to Matias Vina. Reinaldo is also on their wishlist.

Calciomercato notes that there are concerns from Roma over how Jonny’s recovery from his latest injury will go.

It has been an awful time for the 27-year-old. He only managed to make seven Premier League appearances last season, sandwiched between two serious injuries.

Wolves did hand him a new contract until 2025 earlier this year. So they will surely be reluctant to lose him.

It does appear that Roma are looking elsewhere for the time-being. Calciomercato notes that a bid has been made for Vina.

But it will be interesting to see whether the Serie A side make any move to land Jonny later in the window.
