Brendan Rodgers is keen to build on the imminent transfer of Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare with Leicester City targeting three more signings, per the Daily Mail.
Soumare should complete a £23million move to the King Power Stadium as the Ligue 1 champions strive to raise funds. The Foxes believe they have an agreement with the club and player for the 22-year-old to become their first addition.
Leicester tracked Soumare throughout last season and made their move as he enters the final year of his Lille contract. The Frenchman’s transfer will likely be completed before the Foxes regroup for pre-season training in early July.

Leicester have beaten interest from Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Soumare, having always been his first-choice destination. The U21 international made 43 appearances, starting 28, in all competitions last term, while offering Lille two assists.
Rodgers is now working to build on the arrival of Soumare with the Leicester boss prioritising signings in three positions. He wants the Foxes to add an experienced option at left-back, as well as a centre-forward and a right-sided midfielder.
Leicester have lost a lot of experience in defence with Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs leaving at the end of their contracts. The Foxes are also considering the futures of several players, including Hamza Choudhury, Dennis Praet, Daniel Amartey and Nampalys Mendy.
Praet moved to the King Power Stadium from Sampdoria for £18m in 2019. But the Belgian only started 10 of his 15 Premier League appearances last season after falling out of favour following a hamstring injury.
Rodgers building strong Leicester side with Soumare
Rodgers is building a strong Leicester midfield with Soumare joining the likes of Youri Tielemans, Wilfred Ndidi and James Maddison. It will make the Foxes a real threat in the Premier League next season, but could yet become even stronger.
Rodgers is not comfortable settling with his current attacking options, it seems. Even though Jamie Vardy (15) and Kelechi Iheanacho (12) both scored double figures last term. Vardy also led the Foxes for assists (9), which suggests why Rodgers wants a right-sided option.
Marc Albrighton was Leicester’s top-creator from a wide-right midfield role last season with three assists in 10 games. Timothy Castagne also offered one, but was the only other member of the squad to do so. If Rodgers can now right that in the summer, Leicester will be a menacing threat next term.
