Robin Koch has informed his Freiburg teammates that he is leaving the club, with German outlet Kicker reporting that Leeds United have agreed a fee for the Germany international.
Koch has been linked with a potential Elland Road switch for some time. The Whites have switched their attention to the 24-year-old after failing to bring former loanee Ben White back to the club.

And it appears that a move is close. Kicker reports that Leeds have agreed an £11.6 million fee plus add-ons with his current side.
And the report claims that Koch has told his teammates that he is leaving the club and has said his goodbyes.

TBR View: Huge boost for Leeds to near Koch deal
It would be fantastic for Marcelo Bielsa’s side to complete a deal for Koch. The club certainly need to strengthen their options at centre-back ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The Freiburg man looks to be a fantastic alternative to White. And with Sky Sports reporting that Leeds’s final bid for the Brighton man was worth £25 million, he is going to cost considerably less.
Leeds fans may be reluctant to get carried away until they see the German holding the brand new kit.
But the signs are certainly looking extremely positive.
