Arsenal and Liverpool both want to sign Portugal midfielder, Renato Sanches, but face an uphill battle thanks to his agent, Jorge Mendes.

Sanches has emerged as a target for both the Reds and the Gunners in recent weeks. Reports in the last few days have even claimed Lille will do business for around £30m, should Arteta or Klopp push for a move.

However, Arsenal and Liverpool could already be facing an uphill battle to land Sanches, if reports from Sportsmediaset are correct.

Offered

Sportsmediaset report that Sanches has now been offered to Juventus as an alternative to Manuel Locatelli. The Italian midfielder is Juve’s first choice, but they’re struggling to get a deal over the line.

Sanches’ agent, Jorge Mendes, has now apparently offered his client to the Turin club. Juve would reportedly be open to Sanches arriving, especially if the deal for Locatelli keeps stalling.

Time to move for Liverpool and Arsenal

The transfer window has really kicked into gear the last few days or so, and if Liverpool or Arsenal want Sanches, the time is now.

Mendes is clearly up to his old tricks. He wants a move for his client, so he’s offering him about where he can. Juventus, of course, is a huge club.

But in this market, £30m for Sanches is just good value. Especially given some of the numbers of other players linked with the Reds and Gunners.

If either club wants Sanches, then the time has come to act. Mendes wants Sanches to move, so getting a bid in now could well seal the deal.
