Reiss Nelson is still hoping that he can force Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to change his mind about wanting to loan the youngster out in the final days of the transfer window, according to a report from Football London.
The 20-year-old made his first competitive appearance of the season for the Gunners on Wednesday. He played 72 minutes as Arsenal beat Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.

Nelson was arguably one of those who proved particularly impressive in the win. Nevertheless, it appears that he could still be on the move before the deadline passes.
Football London reports that Arsenal have decided they could loan Nelson out for the campaign. It is noted that the decision has been made so recently they are yet to receive offers for the prospect.

And that may work in Nelson’s favour, as Football London reports that he has not yet given up on changing Arteta’s mind.
TBR View: Arteta has form for changing stance this summer
One factor that has been particularly impressive about Arteta’s tenure has been his willingness to change his stance on players.
And that may provide Nelson with plenty of hope as he looks to stay put.
Sky Sports reported earlier in the window that Rob Holding was in talks to join Newcastle on loan. talkSPORT meanwhile, claimed that a deal was set to be announced at one stage.
However, Holding remains at the Emirates. And it would now be a huge surprise for any sort of move to crop up in the final days of the window.
Holding perhaps had an easier task than Nelson. The centre-back has played a key role in the opening games of the campaign.
But Nelson has still been given a platform to prove himself and show Arteta that he can make an impact for the Gunners this season.
