Report: Reguilon discussed in Paratici meeting with AC Milan

Sergio Reguilon was one name discussed in the meeting between AC Milan and Tottenham director Fabio Paratici which took place on Thursday, according to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio.

It does appear that the Spurs player most likely to end up at San Siro this summer is Japhet Tanganga. Of course, reports have suggested that the Rossoneri want to sign the 23-year-old.

But a move for Tanganga was not the only item on the agenda when Paratici met with Milan. In fact, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that a couple of other Spurs players were discussed.

Tanguy Ndombele was one, but another was Reguilon.

Spurs losing Ndombele in this window would hardly be a surprise. He has struggled under a number of Tottenham managers now. And it is doing the club no favours to keep the Frenchman on the books.

Reguilon meanwhile, simply does not seem suited to Antonio Conte’s system.

Reports have suggested that a move to La Liga had been on the cards. In fact, he had reportedly told friends that he was close to joining Sevilla.

But it seems that there is still a chance that he could move elsewhere with talks with Milan held.

Tottenham will welcome the additional interest in Reguilon. They reportedly want up to £25.6 million for the Spain international.

The more interest, the better. That makes it more likely that Spurs will receive a substantial offer.

Reguilon obviously has ties to Sevilla. But joining Milan would also be an appealing option. They have just lifted the Scudetto and will be in the Champions League this coming season.

So it may be one option to keep an eye on in the weeks ahead.
