Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn. As reported by the Daily Mail, the Champions League finalists are keen on bringing him to London next season. A £35 million price-tag has been mentioned as Spurs look to improve their attacking options.
But in the same report, there is perhaps some alarming news for Leeds United fans.
It is claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is not considering Bergwijn as an alternative to Leeds star Jack Clarke. In fact, he wants them both.
Leeds United fans might have felt that Bergwijn’s potential arrival would see Tottenham back off of Clarke.

Both players are wingers and it was perhaps felt that Tottenham will not sign two such similar players.
However, it appears the Leeds man is a major target for Spurs this season and Leeds might have a battle keeping hold of the teenage starlet.
As reported by The Sun earlier this week, Leeds are holding out for £20 million for their talented attacker. Tottenham are said to be closer to £12 million in their valuation so a deal still looks a long way off.
But seeing that Tottenham’s interest is as cast-iron as it is will have Leeds fans fearing the club may receive a bid they cannot refuse for their teenage asset.
