Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Rafa Mir supposedly has interest from Spain.

According to El Periodico de Aragon, the 22-year-old could be set to return to his homeland with Real Zaragoza.

Mir has been on loan at Championship outfit Nottingham Forest this season, but it has not been a fruitful spell at the City Ground.

Mir has started just two games for the club, and he has failed to score in a total 13 appearances.

Apparently Spanish Segunda division side Zaragoza are keen to take him in January, but it would obviously hinge on Wolves and Forest agreeing to cut short his current loan spell.

The Spanish second tier is a division Mir has previous experience in having turned out for UD Las Palmas last season.

Any deal could be tricky, as Zaragoza would have to cover his 1 million/£840,000 annual salary.

TBR’s view – Wolves should move on

Unfortunately, Mir has failed to prove himself following his highly anticipated arrival from Valencia in January 2018.

The 22-year-old has made just four first-team appearances under Nuno Espirito Santo, and has shown very little in the Championship.

Having joined for around £2 million (Birmingham Mail), Wolves should be seeking to get back their initial investment with the player still under contract until 2022.
