Report: Real Madrid willing to let Isco leave in January, and Arsenal are ‘admirers’

Spanish newspaper AS have claimed that Isco wants to leave Real Madrid in the January transfer window on loan, and that Arsenal and Manchester City are ‘firm admirers’ of the Spanish playmaker.

Isc0, 27, has fallen down the pecking order slightly at Real Madrid, following the signing of Eden Hazard. The 38-time Spain international has managed just four appearances this season, but injury has prevented him from making more.

With Gareth Bale and Hazard supporting Karim Benzema, and Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemeiro and Federico Valverde all impressing in central midfield, Isco has little chance of breaking into the Real side.

The latest report claims Isco is desperate to leave on loan, after being told by Spainboss Robert Moreno that he needs to be playing regularly if he is to secure his spot in the Euro 2020 squad. AS have claimed that Isco has a £600million release clause.

TBR’s view – Isco would be a stunning signing on loan for Arsenal

The situation surrounding Mesut Ozil means Arsenal have lost their most creative player. Nicolas Pepe is struggling to recreate last season’s form for Lille following his move, and Arsenal need an injection of flair and invention.

Landing Isco on loan – to combine with another Real Madrid loanee in Dani Ceballos – would be an excellent bit of business by Unai Emery. But the lure of Manchester City may prove difficult for Isco to ignore.
