Liverpool could miss out on signing Braga defender, David Carmo, with Real Madrid apparently now in the mix to land the Portuguese starlet.
Carmo was thought to be on the radar of Liverpool in the January window. AS claims the Reds made a £17m bid for Carmo, which was rejected as Braga wanted around £5m more for their man.

Liverpool instead signed Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies. However, if they do retain an interest in Carmo, it appears they’ll face hefty competition now from Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
AS claims Los Blancos are high on landing the Portuguese youngster. Carmo, 21, has been on the radar of top European clubs for a while, including Manchester United. Indeed, he was part of the Portugal under-19 side that won the Euros in 2018, per 90Min.

Madrid are said to be in the market for a new defender this summer. Sergio Ramos is yet to commit his future, meaning a spot could open up in the back four for the Spanish outfit.
TBR View: Have Liverpool missed out on a real gem here with Carmo?
That question will only be answered in due course but when Real Madrid come knocking, you know you must be a big talent.
Carmo looks to have all the attributes to really step up and make it with a very top club. He’s a giant of a defender, but he brings composure and a quality with the ball you’d expect from a Portuguese player.
Liverpool, then, will hope they’re not left kicking themselves if Carmo does move to the Bernabeu and go on to become a revelation.
