The Daily Star has claimed Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur star Lucas Moura, who is just the latest Spurs man to be linked with a move to the Spanish side.
The 26-year-old has starred for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, even though he struggled with the north London club to begin with following his £23million (BBC) move from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.
But this season, the 35-time Brazil international has found the back of the net 15 times for Spurs. He will go down in Tottenham history as the man that scored a sensational hat-trick to put his side in the Champions League final.
Real Madrid have been linked with plenty of Tottenham players in the past. Harry Kane has been linked, as has manager Pochettino. Christian Eriksen continues to be touted with a move to Zinedine Zidane’s side.
Now, speed machine Moura is also on Real’s radar.
Moura is the perfect player for Pochettino’s team. His speed is crucial, as is his ability to find the back of the net. But most importantly, Moura’s versatility is crucial.
Naturally a winger, Moura can also play up front and has shown that he is more than dangerous as a number nine. Against Huddersfield, he scored a hat-trick.
In the absence of Harry Kane and with Fernando Llorente set to leave as his contract expires on June 30, Moura provides another top-quality option for Spurs. They must keep the Brazilian.
