Real Madrid will demand £25m for Gareth Bale this summer if Tottenham want to sign him permanently, according to reports from Spain today.
Defensa Central make the claim. They believe Madrid will look to bring in some money for Bale as they look to keep a lid on their own finances and potentially fund big moves.
The likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are both said to be targets for Madrid this summer. But with the pandemic wreaking havoc on club finances throughout the world, Los Blancos are looking to get some funds in the kitty.

A £25m fee will be what they are looking for Bale. Madrid paid over £80m for him initially, while he also sits on a mega-money contract believed to be worth over £500k-a-week.
Spurs, then, will have to really assess in the next few months what they do with Bale. He has started to hit form of late but has, in the main, been a disappointment thus far in his loan spell.
TBR View: Bale is still world class but £25m might be pushing it
The issue for Spurs here is if they pay that money, then does Bale still demand the amount of money he has on his Madrid deal?
If so, then this will be a step too far for Spurs you’d think. Bale has looked good of late but £25m, in addition to mega wages means it’s a tough deal for a player who is probably past his best.
