Reported Arsenal target, Pau Torres, could be on his way to Real Madrid this summer with the La Liga giants keen on the defender.
According to Goal, Torres is high on the list of transfer targets for the Madrid giants. However, a reported £57m price-tag could put Los Blancos off, who are trying to negotiate a cheaper fee.

Torres has developed into one of the top defenders over in Spain through his performances with Villarreal. Managed by former Arsenal boss Unai Emery, he has also been linked with a move to the Gunners as recently as January. (Marca)
However, it is Madrid who look like they’re making their move for the Spaniard. But Emery won’t want to let his man go without a fight based on his previous comments. The former Gunners boss stating he believes Torres is a ‘top’ player previously.

Liverpool were also credited with an interest in Torres late last year. However, as we know, Jurgen Klopp opted for Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies in the January window.
TBR View: Torres looks a fine player but £57m is a big chunk of change
Pau Torres is one of the most sought after defenders in Europe it seems. He’s a good age, looks to have plenty of talent, and to some clubs, will be seen as a bit of a bargain.
But £57m is a big fee for a club like Arsenal to pay. They paid less than £30m for Gabriel in the summer, which is more likely the market they’ll be looking in again this year.
Madrid, meanwhile, are looking for a replacement for Sergio Ramos, so the links with Torres are an obvious outcome.
