Arsenal hotshot Gabriel Martinelli is reportedly being eyed by Spanish giants Real Madrid.

El Desmarque claim the current leaders of La Liga are now monitoring the Brazilian after a fine start to life at the Emirates Stadium.

The teenager has helped himself to 10 goals in 23 appearances across all competitions, and is the club’s second top scorer behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The South American recently received the backing of legendary Brazilian Ronaldinho, who said the starlet reminds him of Ronaldo Nazario (Mirror).

At the moment, many Arsenal fans are clamouring for Martinelli to become a regular fixture in the starting XI, with Alexandre Lacazette having struggled for goals in recent weeks.

The youngster looks the real deal, and the Spanish heavyweights are no strangers to signing Brazilian players with big potential – Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Goes their two latest acquisitions.

Arsenal have, potentially, a very special player on their hands and must stand firm.

Selling him for big money so soon would send out entirely the wrong message to supporters – the club need to be showing their ambition, and keeping prospects like Martinelli is one way of doing that.
