Report: Real Madrid eye Wolves teenager Fabio Silva

Fabio Silva’s first season at Molineux may have been a mixed one, but it seems that Wolves may face a battle to keep the striker this summer – with Real Madrid apparently an admirer.

Silva was put under a lot of pressure as soon as he arrived in the Premier League. As noted by BBC Sport, the 18-year-old cost Wolves £35.6 million – becoming their club record signing in the process.

He has since gone on to score four Premier League goals for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. He has also contributed two assists in his last five appearances for the club.

And it appears that his form is not going unnoticed.

According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid want Silva. It is noted that they are closely monitoring the teenager ahead of the summer.

TBR View: Bernabeu move for Silva surely unlikely

Wolves are surely going to have little interest in selling Silva this summer. Even if he has not quite met expectations yet, they would have always known that an immediate return on their investment was highly unlikely.

Madrid therefore, will surely have to offer Wolves the chance to make a huge profit if they hope to land the forward.

And with clubs across Europe struggling financially, it is hard to see Los Blancos making the kind of offer that appeals to Nuno’s men.
