Real Madrid are considering activating the £40 million buy-back clause to re-sign Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon, according to Sport.
The Spaniard arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer for a fee of £25 million.
His stay in North London could prove shortlived, however, with the La Liga giants now considering taking him back.
Reguilon has played 13 times in the Premier League during 2020/21 and is an integral part of Jose Mourinho’s defence.

The report claims that Zinedine Zidane is considering activating the clause before the month is out.
Real Madrid are seven points adrift of city rivals Atletico in their pursuit of another La Liga crown.
Zidane’s team could do with a lift from somewhere and taking the full-back is firmly in his sights.
The 24-year-old has largely played at left-back for Mourinho but he has made six appearances in a more advanced role too.
Tottenham face Wycombe tonight in the FA Cup and it’s a competition that will be taken seriously.
TBR View: Losing Reguilon would be a cruel blow for Tottenham
Mourinho’s recruitment in the summer was largely impressive and he’ll be desperate to keep Reguilon.
The ex-Real Madrid man has been in fine form and at 24, he has to be viewed as one for the future too.
Reguilon earns £48,000-a-week in North London and he’s looked exceptional value for money this season.

Tottenham are going well in the Premier League and are in the last 32 of the Europa League.
Spurs will want to end a long wait for silverware this season and keeping players like Reguilon could prove paramount.
Losing him for £40 million would see the club make an instant profit on the defender but Mourinho won’t be bothered about that.
He’ll want to win things and in order to do that, he’ll prefer to keep his players around.
