Romanian website DigiSport have claimed that Champions League side RB Leipzig are keen on bringing Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi to Germany this month – with the number seven in excellent form of late.
Hagi, 22, endured a difficult start to the season in which he was dropped. Kemar Roofe, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos started up front instead of him, but that has changed in recent matches.
The winger – who can play as a number 10, has scored two goals and laid on two assists in his last five Scottish Premiership matches. This season in total, Hagi has four goals and 10 assists in 26 league and cup appearances.
New Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai has suffered an injury and Julian Nagelsmann wants a replacement. Such a move would see £19,000 a week (Sport.Ro) Hagi play in the Champions League – Leipzig qualified for the last 16.

TBR’s view – Hagi would be silly to leave Rangers for Leipzig
Though a move to Leipzig would be glamorous, Hagi would be some way off the starting XI. The German side – who have added Szoboszlai – also boast the likes of Marcel Sabitzer, Dani Olmo and Justin Kluivert.
Hagi would do well to get onto the bench at Leipzig, especially given he has been in and out of the Rangers side this season. He would be much better served to stay at Rangers, further his development, and then consider a move.
