TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that Rennes winger Raphinha will put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Leeds United on Monday, in a deal that will see the Brazilian earn £28,000 a week – increasing every season.
The Yorkshire Evening Post claimed Leeds are set to complete the signing of 23-year-old Raphinha from Rennes – even though the Brazilian scored for the Ligue 1 side on Sunday afternoon. He was due to play in this season’s Champions League for Rennes.
Ouest France – as per GFFN – claim Leeds will pay £15.5million up front to Rennes with add-ons worth £5.5million – totalling £21million. The only issue remaining for Leeds is expected to be obtaining a work permit for the Sporting Lisbon star.
Now, the latest report states Raphinha will sign a five-year deal worth £28,000 a week. It will also include a clause that sees his wage increase by £3,500 a week – meaning he will eventually end up on wages of around £45,000 a week by 2025.

TBR’s view – Raphinha could be a wonderful Leeds signing
Clocking up 36 appearances in all competitions since joining Rennes from Sporting Lisbon, Raphinha has had a hand in 15 goals for the French club. He is naturally a right winger but can also play on the left for the Brazilian.
Quick, strong and boasting a clinical eye for goal, Raphinha could be a stunning signing for Leeds – certainly, he is a player with enormous resale value and one that can improve under the impeccable guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.
