Reported Glasgow Rangers target Niklas Dorsch has apparently made a decision on his future and, if the report is true, does not bode well for Steven Gerrard and the Ibrox camp.
InFranken reported in May that Rangers were monitoring the Heidenheim midfielder, but faced competition from 2. Bundesliga rivals Hamburg.
Dorsch has been with the German second-tier outfit since the summer of 2018, joining on a free transfer after leaving Bayern Munich.

The 22-year-old made 36 appearances last season, including 34 in the league and a further two in the promotion-relegation playoff.
Sadly for Dorsch, he couldn’t help guide Heidenheim to the Bundesliga as they lost the tie with Werder Bremen on away goals.
It was potentially the Germany Under-21 international’s last game for the club, with speculation increasing over his future.
But according to Het Laatste Nieuws, Rangers are set to miss out on Dorsch, who is on the verge of a move to Belgian outfit Gent.
The report claims that Gent have made their move for the player thanks to a release clause in his deal, and is set to move for around €3.5million (around £3million).
TBR View:
Dorsch is a highly-rated midfielder who has been superb in the German second-tier after leaving Bayern, and his future now looks to be in a top-flight league.
In 2016, Bleacher Report posted a very complimentary scouting report about the player, which said: “A versatile central midfielder, Dorsch has been likened to both Bastian Schweinsteiger and Toni Kroos. He seems to combine the talents of both.
“Like Kroos, he’s a brilliant distributor of the ball and, despite possessing understandable strengths and weaknesses, is capable of playing in any central-midfield role so long as there are suitable complements around him.”
Despite recent links with Rangers and past links with Celtic, however, it looks as though he’s heading to Belgium instead, which is a shame for the Scottish Premiership.
