The Daily Mail has claimed that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is interesting Qatar Stars League side Al-Duhail ahead of the summer window, with interested parties told to spend £15million.
Morelos, 24, was in stunning form during the 2019-20 campaign – finishing the season with stats of 29 goals and 10 assists in 46 league and cup outings. However, he failed to score a single league goal in 2020.
Back in January, interested parties were told by Steven Gerrard that he would not sell the Colombia international even if bids reached £50million – as per the Record. Now, it is believed Rangers will accept fees in the region of £15million.
Al-Duhail, who sit top of the Qatar Stars League and boast players such as Mario Mandzukic, Mehdi Benai and North Korean ace Han Kwang-song – are using a third party to sign Morelos. It remains to be seen if a deal can be reached.

TBR’s view – QSL is simply the wrong move for Morelos
Yes, the financial outlay is enormously tempting – especially given the lack of quality evident in the Qatar Stars League. But Morelos is in the early stages of his career, and needs to chance his arm in Europe’s best leagues.
A move to the Premier League should be Morelos’ aim over the course of the next two or three months – rather than a move to the Middle East. Perhaps later in his career, the middle east should be a consideration.
