Rangers are ready to make a move to bring talented right-back Dennis Gyamfi to Ibrox this summer after Steven Gerrard received glowing reports about the player from a pair of former Old Firm rivals.
Rangers are in the hunt for a new right-back this summer after Jon Flanagan’s Ibrox deal came to an end.
Steven Gerrard now has James Tavernier and youngster Nathan Patterson to call on in the position, but another recruit appears likely.
Gyamfi is now a free agent after his contract at Leicester City came to an end.
Now, according to Graphic Sports Online, Rangers could make a move after Gerrard received ‘positive reports’ about the player from Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers and first-team coach Kolo Toure.
Whilst both Rodgers and Toure are former Old Firm rivals at Celtic, Gerrard has a previous relationship with the pair from his time at Liverpool.
So there is no doubt the Rangers manager will appreciate their opinion regarding Gyamfi.
Rangers have already signed one youngster from Leicester this summer, with fellow full-back Calvin Bassey arriving to support Borna Barisic at Ibrox.
Rangers fans will no doubt be hoping that they can secure a deal for the talented youngster, who is also being linked with a host of other clubs around Europe.
