Rangers certainly have a certain pull for young talents. The prestige of the club, the chance to play at Ibrox and the presence of football legend Steven Gerrard in Glasgow certainly helps youngsters decide to make a move to Auchenhowie.
Last month, it appeared that Rangers were hoping that appeal would lure wonderkid Charlie McNeill to make the move to Glasgow.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Rangers held talks with the teenager’s representatives over a potential move to Scotland.
The England youth international, who has reportedly scored over 600 goals at youth level, had failed to agree an extension at Manchester City and Rangers clearly felt they could take advantage with a swoop of their own.

However, reports this weekend would suggest Rangers have missed out.
It is reported by The Sun that Manchester United have won the race to sign the player from their fierce rivals. He will reportedly become a Red Devil for a fee in the region of £750,000, with several clauses included in the deal.
He also held talks with Juventus and RB Leipzig, but they, like Rangers, have come up short.
The 17-year-old will now be hoping to thrive at Carrington and become a Premier League star in the future. At which point, Rangers fans will just be left wondering what might have been.
