Rangers have recently been linked with bringing another goalkeeper to Glasgow this summer, despite Steven Gerrard recently securing the services of Jon McLaughlin at Ibrox.
Sport-FM in Greece has suggested that Vasilis Barkas is on the Rangers radar after catching the eye at Ibrox with performances at his current club AEK Athens.
Rangers have lost both Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick this summer but McLaughlin’s arrival at Ibrox seemed to solve that problem for Gerrard.

This might explain one suggested reason for Rangers’ apparent interest in bringing the 10-cap international to Ibrox.
A report from SDNA in Greece is suggesting that Rangers are only showing interest in Barkas to spite their Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Bhoys have also been linked with the goalkeeper, who could replace Fraser Forster should Celtic fail to secure a permanent deal.
Sportime recently reported that Celtic could sign Barkas for a fee in the region of £7.2 million if they wanted this summer.
The SDNA report claims that Rangers are potentially trying to drive a wedge in any negotiations, by pushing the price on the Greek star.
Rangers are well covered between the sticks, so a move for Barkas would come as a surprise. But should they manage to squeeze a little more money out of Celtic’s own summer transfer budget by playing interested, nobody at Ibrox will lose any sleep.
