Rangers hope to have completed a deal for Daniel Johnson by Sunday, with The Scottish Sun reporting that the midfielder is keen to move to Ibrox this summer.
Johnson has been linked with a move to Steven Gerrard’s side for much of the window. And it appears that the Gers may be edging closer to completing a deal.

According to The Scottish Sun, the 27-year-old wants to join Rangers. And the Light Blues are hopeful that they can finalise a move before they face Motherwell at the weekend.
The report does note that there are still hurdles to overcome as they look to agree a fee for the £3 million-rated Preston North End man.

TBR View: Big boost for Rangers to complete Johnson move
It looks set to be a very good piece of business should Rangers land Johnson this week. He scored 12 goals and contributed eight assists in the Championship last season.
And he played all across the midfield, including on both flanks. So he should be versatile enough to adapt to Gerrard’s plans for him.
The onus is now on Rangers to make sure that they agree a fee with Preston for his signature, particularly with the Gers target reportedly keen to make the switch.
