Scottish giants Rangers and Celtic have both reportedly joined the race for defender Jack Tucker at English League One club Gillingham.
According to the Scottish Sun, the Old Firm duo could battle to try sign the 20-year-old in the summer transfer window.
It is understood that the centre-back is valued at £1.5million and that he’s being closely followed by scouts.
The report adds that Premier League pair West Ham and Aston Villa also have the highly-rated youngster on their radar.
Tucker is playing in the third-tier of English football and is a mainstay in a Gillingham side that sit 10th in League One.
The defender has played 32 first-team games already this campaign and helped boost his reputation in the FA Cup with a performance against West Ham in January.
Tucker only signed a new deal with Gillingham back in December and is under contract until 2023, but there is expected to be interest in him this summer.
There are many top clubs who believe the ball-playing centre-back can make the step up and his £1.5million price tag could end up being a bargain in the long-term.
Rangers and Celtic are two ambitious teams that are competing in the Europa League knockout rounds, so they should be able to attract some decent players.
