Rangers and Celtic are two of the clubs that are interested in signing playmaker Joe Aribo from League One club Charlton Athletic.
According to Goal, the Scottish giants are joined by Southampton and Rennes in the race for the 22-year-old’s signature.
It is understood that Arsenal were scouting the Englishman, but no longer hold an interest.
The report details that the player’s representatives have already started discussions with other parties about securing a move at the end of the season when his contract at Charlton expires.
Aribo has been a key player for Charlton in League One this season and is involved in the play-offs with them.
The attacking midfielder has struck red-hot form of late and has scored in his last four consecutive games, which included in the play-off semi-final first leg against Doncaster Rovers.
Aribo is a highly-rated talent that has impressed for Charlton this campaign and his goal return from the centre of the park is decent.
It’s a huge summer for Rangers and Celtic ahead, with the former showing signs this season that they are starting to close the gap on the champions.
Aribo would definitely be a risk worth taking for both Scottish clubs on a free transfer and there is every chance he could make an impact at either.
