Rangers are reportedly fighting Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City for the services of exciting young Norwegian talent Emanuel Kulego.
According to a report from Nettavisen, the Scottish giants have shown interest in the 18-year-old striker, who has featured for Rosenborg BK in the Norwegian third division this season after impressing for the U16s and U19s.
Interest is supposedly growing in the talented youngster, despite him having not yet featured in the top-flight.
The starlet – who idolises Chelsea legend Didier Drogba according to his official club profile – was only recently handed his first professional deal, and the club have huge hopes for him.
Whether they will get to keep him for much longer remains to be seen, but Rangers are interested, but Steven Gerrard might not get his own way with his former manager and managerial nemesis Brendan Rodgers also said to be keen.
TBR’s View – Another striker in for Gerrard?
It looks as though it could well be another striker in at Ibrox.
Gerrard has already brought in Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten, but Alfredo Morelos continues to be linked with an exit from the club.
Realistically Roofe would be the man to replace the Colombian, with Itten the backup.
But that could leave room for a future prospect, and by all accounts, Kulego has a very bright future ahead of him.
