Sky Sports transfer expert Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Queens Park Rangers playmaker Eberechi Eze’s ‘dream move’ would be a transfer to Arsenal this summer – having supported the Gunners as a child.

Eze, 22, is one of the most in-demand English players this summer after a stellar campaign with Mark Warburton’s QPR. Playing every single one of the London side’s 46 Championship games, he scored 14 and created eight.

But the England Under-21 international has entered the final 12 months of his current contract – and that has seen numerous clubs become linked with Eze. The Sun claim Crystal Palace are struggling to meet the player’s valuation.

He is rated at £20million, as per the report, while West Ham are also keen but could hold a trump card – by including Jordan Hugill in a deal. However, Solhekol claims Eze is dreaming of a move to a different London club.

London-born Eze came through the ranks at Arsenal before being released and joining Fulham as a 13-year-old. He remains a supporter of the club, and the report states that the Gunners would be a “dream move”.

TBR’s view – Would Eze be a good signing for Arsenal?

Eze already has more than 100 senior outings to his name at QPR, but lacks Premier League experience. It is whether Arsenal are ready to take a risk on him now – or wait until he is proven in the Premier League.

The only issue with waiting is that if he does prove to be a hit in the Premier League, the chances are his value will rise. So, Arsenal must decide whether to sign him now as a risk – or spend bigger when he is proven.

Of course, it must be remembered that it is not known if Arsenal are interested.
