Dutch club PSV Eindhoven are reportedly interested in trying to sign Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld next summer.
According to De Telegraaf, PSV have reached out to the agent of the Spurs defender to see whether the player would consider a possible transfer at the end of the season.
The £150,000-a-week star (Daily Mail) has been a key figure since he joined the club back in 2015, something which has remained the same this season for Jose Mourinho’s side.
He’s played 15 games across all competitions this season and scored in the recent win over Leeds United in the Premier League.
The Belgium international did miss a few games through injury this campaign, but he’s a senior figure that remains key to the manager and aged 31 he still looks in great physical condition.

TBR’s View:
PSV are a quality side that are regular title contenders in the Eredivisie league, plus they compete in European football and qualified for the Europa League knockout rounds this season.
But Alderweireld is still a top performer at Premier League level and it’s hard to imagine him wanting to leave Spurs in the summer unless he gets frozen out of the picture.
There is also the added edge that he’s an academy product of PSV’s big rivals Ajax, which could perhaps play a role in any kind of deal.
