Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to part with the £25 million Tottenham Hotspur apparently want for Christian Eriksen.
As reported by The Independent, the French champions are hoping to take advantage of the slow negotiations between Spurs and Inter Milan by offering the north Londoners’ valuation of the player.
Inter are apparently Eriksen’s first choice, but the Nerazzurri have only offered in the region of £8-£10 million.
That has been considered ‘derisory’ by Tottenham, who could now enter into talks with PSG in a bid to get Eriksen off the books this month.
The playmaker has just six months remaining on his current deal, and it seems pretty clear he won’t be signing an extension.
Awkwardly for PSG, and Tottenham for that matter, Eriksen is thought to have reservations about the game time he’d get at the Parc des Princes, which might make a move there difficult.
TBR’s view – Spurs have to sell
Tottenham must do all they can to try and get Eriksen to PSG, but failing that they may have to settle for less than they want from Inter.
The club simply have to get him off the books this month and get some money for him.
It would be a travesty to lose him for free, but he does need to go as he has shown very poor form throughout 2019/20.
