French outlet Le10Sport have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on loan for the 2019-20 season – but Spurs would much rather sell the Frenchman permanently.
Tottenham signed Ndombele for a club-record fee last summer, bringing the 23-year-old to north London from Lyon. He has endured a difficult season in his first campaign with the club, especially after Jose Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino.
The six-time France international has since played 27 times for Spurs, scoring twice against Aston Villa and Southampton – both of which were under Pochettino – as well as laying on four assists. Under Mourinho, he has been criticised.
It has seen Ndombele linked with a move away from Spurs. The report claims Barcelona have suggested a swap deal for Ndombele, which could involve players such as Nelson Semedo and Arthur. But PSG are said to want the player on loan.
However, Tottenham will only consider offers for the player that sees the north London outfit bring in a fee – larger than the £55million (TalkSPORT) fee they spent less than 12 months ago to lure him to England.

TBR’s view – Tottenham need to keep Ndombele
Especially if the only offer is to take him on loan. Ndombele still offers Tottenham a very solid option in midfield, even if he is unable to meet the level of potential that he brought with him to north London.
However, if Barcelona table an offer that includes Semedo and Arthur, then Spurs have got to accept. Spurs desperately need a right-back and Semedo would be a top addition, while Arthur is a very good option to have instead of Ndombele.
Cash seems to be the priority, but Tottenham need to keep a player who can still go on to do great things at Spurs.
