Report: PSG thinking about signing 'unbelievable' Spurs player as they want to keep Kylian Mbappe happy

Tottenham Hotspur look set to have a frantic end to the January transfer window.

Spurs have several targets they’d like to bring in, but they need to offload some players first.

“Outgoings in general are going to help with new signings for Tottenham,” Fabrizio Romano told Matt Hayes’ YouTube channel today.

“They are waiting for outgoings to sign new players.”

Tanguy Ndombele is a player who’s seemingly set to leave Spurs this month, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keen to sign him.

However, PSG appear to have the same problem at Tottenham in terms of having to move players on first.

Mauricio Pochettino is already working with more than 30 first-team players.

And PSG can only register 25 players for the Champions League knockout stages.

As reported by the Evening Standard, they are keen to reduce numbers before pushing ahead with any deals.

PSG reportedly offered Leandro Paredes to Spurs as part of the Ndombele talks, but the north Londoners don’t want him.

Both Pochettino and Ndombele would seemingly love to see the deal happen.

Pochettino, who signed the Frenchman for Spurs, reportedly believes Ndombele would add much-needed quality to his midfield.

And while Valencia appear to be closing in on Ndombele, the Tottenham midfielder apparently favours a switch to PSG.

The Standard also claims the move is appealing to PSG because of Ndombele’s close relationship with Kylian Mbappe, who the club is working hard to keep happy.

Spurs reportedly want his wages covered in full by PSG.

This should not be a problem for the Parisiens, with Ndombele thought to be earning ‘much less’ than the widely reported £200,000-a-week.

Tottenham also want an obligation from the Ligue 1 giants to sign the 25-year-old on a permanent deal in the summer, added the Standard.

“Unbelievable” Ndombele looks set for N17 exit door

Ndombele is a high-calibre player who’s earned plenty of plaudits for his quality and talent.

“Ndombele, I said about this guy when I watched him at Lyon,” Rice said during an Instagram Live last year, via Metro.

“I said this guy will kill the Premier League.

“It’s obviously taken him a year to adapt for whatever reasons but he’s so silky, he’s so good.

“All the Spurs boys at England say he’s unbelievable as well so Ndombele… proper player.”

However, it’s just not worked out for him at Spurs under several managers.

Ndombele certainly needs a change of scenery, so hopefully he can secure a move to PSG, where he should flourish.
