The ongoing transfer saga surrounding Tottenham, Dele Alli, and PSG, appears to have taken a fresh twist today, according to Eurosport.

The report claims that PSG are desperate to get a loan deal done before Monday. However, it is not just for the here and now that PSG are focussed on. Eurosport say that the French giants are desperate to sort out a deal for Alli as they hope they can convince him to push for a permanent stay by enjoying success in Paris.

Alli is widely tipped to secure a temporary switch to the French capital. But this latest report suggests that PSG have a longer term plan in mind, with Leonardo said to be hoping playing alongside the likes of Mbappe and Neymar turns Alli’s head.

It is claimed that Daniel Levy could demand around £100m for Alli if was to sell. Of course, money is of little issue to PSG, given their financial backing.

As yet, no deal has been agreed to take Alli from Spurs to PSG. However, reports are gathering pace, with multiple outlets claiming a deal is all but done and it is Levy holding things up.

TBR View: PSG were always likely to try and sell themselves to Alli

Dele Alli, on his day, is a world class attacking midfielder. He’s still young and if he can get back to his best, a valuable asset to any club.

It’s little wonder, then, that PSG want to leave a lasting impression on the Spurs ace. The notion that being wooed by the likes of Neymar and Mbappe is not too hard to believe, either.

It’s a big six months for Alli in general. If he does move to France, he could well rebuild his career and even look to push back into the England set-up for the summer. A lot is relying on Daniel Levy here, it seems.
