Report: PSG eye raid on Liverpool for Mohamed Salah if Kylian Mbappe leaves

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is on a list of potential signings for PSG if they end up cashing in on Kylian Mbappe during the summer, according to French outlet La Parisien.

The French giants could be forced to sell their elite superstar and if they do they fancy poaching Salah from the Premier League outfit.

The Egyptian has been at Liverpool since 2017 when he signed from Roma. A failed spell at Chelsea earlier in his career had raised eyebrows over the Reds’ decision to sign him.

They needn’t have worried, however. Since signing for the Anfield-based club he has been a revelation, adhering himself to Liverpool supporters with his clinical goalscoring ability.

How Lille Won The Ligue 1 Title Against All The Odds

In 198 appearances, Salah has found the net on 123 occasions and he’s also helped himself to 45 assists.

During 2020/21 he’s scored 29 goals and when plenty of teammates have folded around him, he has maintained his high standards.

The left-footed star could now leave the club this summer though and they might be a worry for Liverpool fans.

PSG are still in a fight to win the title this season with the Ligue 1 race somewhat close for a change.

It would be a real blow for Mauricio Pochettino if he doesn’t help the club lift the crown they have become so accustomed to winning in the next couple of weeks.

The summer could see them enter the transfer market and clearly, he fancies taking Salah from the Premier League.

TBR View: Liverpool must keep their star man

Given that Champions League football is unlikely to be on the agenda for Liverpool next season, a sale or two does seem realistic.

The Reds must be meticulous when it comes to deciding who though – and it definitely shouldn’t be Salah!

This season he has showcased his brilliance with some breathtaking performances and unlike his teammates, he’s maintained his high goalscoring standards.

The 69-cap star is among the club’s top-earners on £200,000-a-week but Jurgen Klopp must keep him at Anfield whatever it takes.
