Tottenham could be facing a big ask if they wish to land Inter Milan defender, Milan Skriniar, with Calciomercato reporting that PSG are now interested in the Slovakian.
The 25-year-old has been in exceptional form for a number of seasons now in Serie A and has emerged as one of the best defenders on the continent during his time with Inter.
Inevitably, a number of clubs have been casting an eye over the defender, with Spurs and Jose Mourinho said to be big fans. Indeed, FC Inter News claimed at the start of the month that Spurs were ‘readying their bid’.
But with PSG now involved and reportedly willing to put in an offer of around £45m, that could spell trouble for the Premier League outfit.
Despite the signing of Matt Doherty, Spurs are not expected to go spending huge sums this summer. The club was hoping a potential swap deal could be done between Tanguy Ndombele and Skriniar but that talk seems to have cooled for now.

Given his quality and how highly Inter Milan rates their man, it was always going to be a difficult deal for Spurs to get over the line and so it has proven in the last few months.
Now, if PSG is serious, then Spurs might have to simply walk away from any deal.
The French club is looking for a Thiago Silva replacement and, clearly, Skriniar is of the calibre to take over from the Brazilian. It’s a shame for Spurs but, like a lot of transfers this summer for different clubs, they might have to just walk away and onto new targets.
