Italian outlet CalcioMercato have claimed that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to rake in a figure of £45million for Arkadiusz Milik despite the Pole’s contract situtation – amid reported interest from Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham.
Milik, 26, joined Napoli back in the summer of 2016 from Dutch giants Ajax and has since gone on to make 110 appearances in four years with the Serie A club – scoring an impressive 46 goals. But a new contract has not been forthcoming.
Despite netting 12 times in just 23 league and cup outings this season, Milik is expected to be made available in the summer window – even if Dries Mertens also leaves Gennar Gattuso’s side. The report claims De Laurentiis wants £45million.
That is despite Milik’s contract situation – which will see him leave Napoli on a free in 12 months. Italian outlet CalcioNapoli24 have claimed Arsenal and Tottenham are keen, while CorriereDelloSport say Newcastle want the attacker.

TBR’s view – Which clubs needs Milik the most?
As it stands, Arsenal do not need Milik but if Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opt to leave the club – then Milik should be considered as a replacement. Tottenham and Newcastle certainly need Milik, though.
Spurs need back-up for Harry Kane and they either bring in a striker that is happy playing second fiddle, or sign an attacker that can play out wide in order to give him the required game time. Milik is certainly that.
