The 26-year-old struggled for regular starts last season under Nuno Espirito Santo and then Antonio Conte.

Winks made 30 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions in 2021-22, but just 17 were starts.

Conte brought Rodrigo Bentancur to Spurs in January, which led to Winks falling down the pecking order.

And according to‘s Alasdair Gold, Oliver Skipp has fully recovered from his long-term injury.

The Telegraph has claimed that Winks has been told he can leave Tottenham this summer.

Spurs reportedly value the England international at £20million.

Meanwhile, Everton boss Lampard apparently wants at least four new signings at Goodison Park.

This is to try and ensure the Toffees can avoid another Premier League relegation battle.

However, with finances tight, Everton ‘would most likely only be interested in taking the 26-year-old on loan for the season.’

With Winks seemingly surplus to requirements at Tottenham, it remains to be seen whether Spurs would accept these terms.

Sevilla are apparently also eyeing the £91,000-a-week player.

“The profile of a perfect midfield player”

Winks has made 203 appearances for Tottenham and played in the 2019 Champions League final.

Mauricio Pochettino was a big fan of the Spurs academy graduate.

In 2018, he told the Evening Standard: “Harry has the profile of the perfect midfield player.

“His characteristics are perfect. When we talk about midfielders like Xavi and Iniesta, he’s like this type of player.

“He has this capacity but he needs to take my words in a very positive way – he needs a lot of work.”

However, Winks’ career at Spurs hasn’t really taken off, and he remains a peripheral player.

Likewise, he hasn’t been able to add to his 10 England caps recently.

Winks’ last Three Lions appearance was in November 2020.
