Real Madrid are reportedly on the verge of sacking Zinedine Zidane after a dismal loss in the Champions League on Tuesday – and Football London have stated such a decision will not impact Gareth Bale’s loan at Tottenham.
Zidane’s side suffered a third loss in their last five games against Ukranian side Shakhtar Donetsk – losing 2-0 away from home. It has put the Real legend in tricky water with the Real board, and a sacking is supposedly close.
Spanish media outlet El Mundo claim that Real president Florentino Perez is weighing up the decision to axe Zidane – with Mauricio Pochettino a possible candidate to replace the Frenchman. Bale, though, will be unaffected.
Bale, 31, rejoined Tottenham on loan from Real and has played seven times – scoring once against Brighton in the Premier League. Some Spurs fans may be worried that a Zidane exit might see Real give Bale another chance.
However, Football London have confirmed that Real are unable to recall Bale this season after failing to include a recall clause in the loan. In fact, Spurs have the chance to extend the loan next summer by another season.

TBR’s view – Bale news will be music to Spurs fans’ ears
While he has failed to reproduce his best form at Spurs, it must be remembered that the Wales ace has not played regularly for the last three seasons at Real Madrid – and needs to be used carefully by Jose Mourinho.
Indeed, the Europa League has presented the ideal opportunity to use Bale sparingly and help regain the attacker’s confidence – as well as boosting his fitness. The odd Premier League outing will come his way, too.
A few more weeks of regaining his fitness and Bale could begin to show why Spurs have brought him back. Certainly, Spurs fans need not worry about a potential return to Real Madrid.
