Porto have approached West Ham United over a potential loan move for Felipe Anderson, according to talkSPORT’s live transfer blog (5/10; 15:15).

Anderson has been a peripheral figure for the Hammers in the early stages of the season. He is yet to start a Premier League game for David Moyes’s side this term, and has only made two substitute appearances thus far.

talkSPORT reports that the Irons are ready to let the Brazilian leave before the deadline passes. And Porto have made an approach as they look to sign the 27-year-old on loan.

The report notes that talks are ongoing.

It will hand Moyes’s wage budget a big boost if Anderson leaves on loan. Spotrac shows that the former Lazio man earns £85,000-a-week at West Ham.

Of course, time is running out to make the most of having those funds before Monday’s initial deadline.

So it may be something of a gamble for West Ham to let him leave. He has fallen down the pecking order. But he is still a player who clearly has a piece of magic up his sleeve.

The Hammers will still be able to bring some players in over the coming days. And it will be interesting to see if they make any attempt to replace Anderson should he leave on loan.
