Porto are set to make a fresh bid for Celtic enforcer Olivier Ntcham.
According to the Scottish Sun, the Portuguese giants will make an offer for the 23-year-old to take him to the Estadio do Dragao.
It is understood that Porto were prepared to pay £14million for the central midfielder in January, but the Bhoys will have to settle for significantly less now.
The report details that Porto manager Sergio Conceicao is a long-term admirer of the player and he is viewed as a successor to Hector Herrera.
Ntcham, who cost £4.5million in 2017 (BBC), was a colossus in the centre of the park during his first year at Parkhead.
But he’s not quite had the same impact this season, with some inconsistent form and also injuries holding him back.
Porto certainly seem intent on getting their man and perhaps this summer is the window they finally do sign the Celtic ace.
Ntcham has made 35 appearances across all competitions this season and scored six goals in return.
He’s shown in the past he can be a key player for the Scottish giants and his future may depend on who the new full-time manager is at the club.
It’s a little harsh to write off someone that’s been involved in domestic dominance, but his form has dropped off lately and there are better around him.
